Description
Tells the story of Mr. Hoppy, a shy bachelor who is in love with his neighbor, Mrs. Silver, who only has affection for her pet tortoise, Alfie. Mr. Hoppy devises a plan to win Mrs. Silver’s heart by pretending to have a magical spell that will make Alfie grow bigger. He secretly replaces Alfie with progressively larger tortoises, leading Mrs. Silver to believe her spell is working. Ultimately, Mr. Hoppy’s deception leads to a happy ending when Mrs. Silver, realizing her tortoise is too big, asks him for help and they marry.
