Description
A crime novel set in Los Angeles in 1951. It follows ambitious LAPD Officer Fred Underhill as he becomes entangled in a dangerous investigation involving a serial killer preying on women. Underhill’s ambition leads him to forge alliances with unsavory elements within the police force, ultimately resulting in a case that implodes and destroys his career.
